NEW FOR 2011 MOD-X-R
This class will be run on a local level for 2011 race season. This will be the test for the national level for the 2012 season. If all is well, this class may become implemented on a national level. This class is a step above super stock. These are the rules for this class. ENGINE SIZE 1. Maximum engine size is 17 horsepower OHV or flat head single cylinder. 2. Must be 100% stock except for air filter and velocity stack. 3. May have an adjustable high-speed jet. 4. Rpm’s are set to 3650 max .no load. CHASSIS BUILD 1. Must be a full frame chassis with steering shaft behind engine. No mid engine frames allowed. 2. Maximum width is 38 inches outside sidewall to sidewall. 3. Chassis height is 6” max 4”min. 4. Tires will be of lawn mower origin. Wheels will be steel or aluminum. 6”rims in front, 8”rims in the rear. 5. Tire size will be 13x6.50 or 15x6.00x6 front and 16x6.50/7.50x8 in the rear. 6. Transmission will be 700 shift able box or an transaxle. live axle. No open differentials or single wheel drive. 7. Brakes must be axle mounted. Hydraulic or Mechanical.
All other rules that are not listed here are the same build rules as the mod-x class. This class will be offered as an alternative to super stock for those of you that want to go faster without the big money engine expense. _________________
