Brian Smith a member of BTMRA and lives in Killen Alabama and father of two wonderful kids, was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. Larry has kept in close touch with the family and they have chosen SEPT. 17th as the day we will hold a benifit dinner, cake auction, and fun run for Brian Smith. As many may know Brian was diagnosed with cancer and hopefully this will help out. SO here is the plan 11:30 we will be serving Goat Stew and Chicken stew with the fixings to go with it. After wards we will have a bake sale/auction. Larry is working on having a live band to entertain us also. Soon as thats done we will start registration for a fun run/race. Races start at 5pm and entry fee is 20.00. ALL poroceeds will go to Brian Smith. Larry with full support of BTMRA is holding this event under USLMRA Affiliation meaning NO ONE has to be a member of any group so everyone is invited to come and support a fellow racer. No fancy track as we are going back to our grass roots and will run on a grass track in the field in front of Larrys house. We will post track deminsions soon as Larry gets it laid out. Anyone wishing to donate yet cannot make it can send it to Larry's made out to Brian Smith's sister Gloria Goar as she is taking care of things and we will give it all to her on the 17th. Address to send to and track and benifit location is below
Sept 17th 6913 Co. Rd 92 Rogersville Ala. 35652
PS more details to follow as it all comes together!!!
