O.k. guys and gals, I apologize for coming to the party late on this one but my schedule has been a bit tight recently. Just to clarify- "in place" means that the stator and wires are in "the place" the factory put them. Yes, I know that pull start engines are not going to have a stator. But, with the increasing production of mowers with some type of electrical feature on them, most are going to have a charging system in place. The wires can and will be checked for voltage at the discretion of the tech inspector. It happened last year and I predict it will happen again this year if necessary. Bottom line- unfortunately people will create dangerous situations for themselves in interest of trying to win a race and a $10 trophy. And, it is the responsibility of the organizing group to ensure the safety of all of those involved. So, don't remove the magnets, put in a "dead" stator or try to attach wires where they don't belong. Now that we have that cleared up, everybody back out to the garage to work on their mowers so they can have a blast wherever they race this weekend!!
